This series of works shows that a humanoid monster whose body overgrows cameras as the metaphor that some people in real life satisfy their own desires by peeping. It satirize those who take pictures of a person without his knowing, but it explains more that in this current society full with technologies, privacy is almost nonexistent.
I make some investigation about pinhole cameras and some disguises of pinhole cameras listed by People’s Daily. (a group of photos) At the same time, in ghost legends, “numbers of eyes” are used to show the peeping ability in different ages in the history. Victims can never know what kind of people are peeping at you, and they may conceal themselves like a normal person around you. While the person’s black suit is the best disguise of pinhole camera. How to dissimilate this kind of people and behaviors is the problem needed to be dealt with in this series of my works.
